Background
Named one of the ‘20 Best Small Towns in America’ by the Smithsonian Magazine, the dynamic City of Staunton is nestled in the Shenandoah Valley and is home to over 24,000 residents. The City Government aims to position Staunton as a tourist destination while also working to foster economic development.
Objective
The City of Staunton needed a straightforward and dependable technology solution for Council Chambers meetings that would allow for live-streaming, could facilitate seamless call-ins from remote attendees, and included closed-captioning capabilities. It was priority that the system be operable by non-technical staff members.
Our Solution
Productive’s audio-visual team delivered a comprehensive solution to the City of Staunton, ensuring simplicity in operation and support for policy-driven meetings. Eliminating the need for IT personnel and allowing non-technical staff members to manage the room’s technology, we installed a custom Crestron central control system. Strategically mounted displays throughout the space now give Council and community members a clear view of presentations. Additionally, for high-quality live-streaming capabilities, we integrated discreet Lumens PTZ cameras. Finally, 16 QSC two-way ceiling speakers offer pristine audio reproduction for in-person and remote meeting attendees.
